I have a few 1:18 Autoart models. They don't have working lights but do have imitation sued on the seats and door trims and carpet on the floor and boot etc. as well as readable warning stickers in the engine bay and on the sun visors.

The Autoart models are expensive but nothing compared to certain Kyosho ones:eek:

Is it any wonder BMW drivers have a rep for not indicating when the switch is under the car? :)

Autoart seem to have gone upmarket in recent years and are pitching themselves at the very top.

I've been trying to get my hands on one of these for the past while, but I can't find them for less than 100 quid:

There's a few details they got wrong with the 850R and the T-5R. I noticed wheels on one car that should be on the other etc.

I have tonnes of models, nothing to that caliber though, most I've ever spent on one is probably 50quid.

They look pretty epic! I'd probably only buy one if I had the car though.

In fairness buying one would be the closest most of us will come to owning a Maybach.

You could do little tricks like this :D

Now this is model making on a different level.

True. They are also the only maker I know of that offers their model cars in right or left hand drive:eek:

Amazing - I want one! Anyone know where I can buy? the Kyosho site isn't listing the LED models.

I'd love to get my hands on a VW Golf Mk6 with all the lights!

OMG. Didn't think I'd ever say this, but........that's the first Bangled car I've ever wanted........

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I only have one Autoart model (Mugen Integra DC5), they are very impressive bits of kit. Never realised the Kyosho models were so impressive, must have a look to see what they have available.

I have approx 470 models, a lot of Autoart, Minichamps, Kyosho etc etc. Some look very very real but they are getting a lot more expensive...the ones I bought 6 or 7 years ago were €39.99.....they now go for over €100!

As for the leds, Autoart etc don't do them....its people who buy them convert them. You'd need some patience to do it.

One of the chaps who owns one of those videos is selling the LED kit himself.

Serious amount of work gone into those cars. The cars are around €130 before you start adding LEDs, fibre optics and other modifications. You would want to be fairly handy with a soldering iron to make one like it. the amount of LED circuits depends on how many channels on the LED controller.
This is the Kyosho 750Li in standard form.

    Gulp!

470*€40 = €18,800, and you imply you paid higher prices for some of your models...

What do you reckon your collection would be worth now if sold individually? VRT paid and all that... :D

Not slagging, btw. I know that collecting does not mean investing, and that the 'value' is not counted in monetary terma.

I don't know how I've never come across these models before, but the attention to detail is beyond belief! Take a look at some of these models, outstanding stuff.

The even include real leather seats and carpets.
I've a couple of Kyosho models but none with actual working lights. That is pretty cool. Are these expensive?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,661 ✭✭✭Voodoomelon

    Not too sure.
Can't imagine having much change left out of €250 with shipping.
