Will three unlock this iPhone?

I bought an Iphone 4 on Adverts.ie last November. The guy said it was an unwanted upgrade from his company and it was brand new but locked to Three.

I have it unlocked by Ultrasn0w but want a factory unlock if possible.
I emailed the seller asking couldI safely contact Three to see would they unlock it but got no reply.
I then rang Three, but got nowhere, they kept transfering me from business to domestic and they wanted details that I hadn't got e.g Company name (although they did confirm from the IMEI that it is a business phone).

I got a little nervous about pushing them so ended the call.

This guy seems to have sold a lot of phones and Iphones on Adverts and is currently offering software and serial unlocks for phones over there.

Anyone know how I can get this officially unlocked with the least effort and will Three blacklist the number if I try pushing them to unlock?

    Hope someone can help,

Not sure if this is the correct forum or Mobile/PDA would be better?

Try a Gevey Supreme sim unlock.

You need to do a once off activation of the unlocking sim but after that its like the phone is factory unlocked. You don't need to do anything further unless you remove the sim card in which case you need to do the initial steps again. You can also turn the phone on and off with the Gevey Supreme version without 'upsetting' it. Where as you cant with the Gevey Pro, so make sure you pick up the right one. Can be as much as €40 in Dublin but are cheaper on Ebay (will need to wait 1 to 3 weeks for delivery unless you find someone in Ireland selling them)

Your wasting your time trying to get three to unlock it. A) You didn't buy it from them B) your likely not even a customer. Why would they unlock it for you when they got absolutely nothing from you. As far as i know they won't even unlock them until the contract is up in 18 to 24 months and you need to be the customer who bought it in the first place with proof of sale.

No, 3 won't unlock as you're not the original owner. Apparently the Gevey sim isn't going to work on iOS5 so keep that in mind if you want to upgrade.

Yeah I'm doing this in light if iOS5. I've been preserving 01.59.00 baseband since 4.0 and am now on 4.3.3 i want to be able to upgrade whenever I want without worrying about the baseband. Thinking my current baseband might struggle with iOS5 if appple target us preservers.

Also, I checked out eBay and those gevey supremes are in all the colours of the rainbow! Is there a reason or function to the different colours?
