Can't decide between sandstone, yellow granite or grey granite for sills. We are using sandstone for the stonework and will most likely paint the house a creamy/yellow colour in the future.
    Anyone got any recommendations please?

If youre using sandstone, why paint the house?

If you are painting render on the non-stone sections, consider asking the plasterer to use a stain to colour the render so you can save the job of painting it...

As regards the sills, you might consider looking at something that will give a bit of contrast and make your windows stand out....so I'd stay away from the sandstone...but that's just my view...

Sorry, just to clarify we are only putting stone on the porch and sunroom so the rest will have no sandstone. Will look into the coloured plaster when we get closer to plastering. Thanks.
