    Hi guys
Anyone any experience of using ballistic tips for deer in 6 5 ammo?
I'm using Remington core loct 139 grm but I hear ballistic tips are very good for dropping animals. My bullet placement is good and I don't lose many animals but I hear the ballistic tips drop the animal on the spot with decent placement of course. I've been told carcass damage isn't too bad either.
    Any thoughts?

Have used the norma 120gr .Very good round but is going to cost 45-55 euro a box:eek:.One thing it might not do, on shoulder shots is leave a bood trail ....other wise it works well .

    Bibio

John lambert in Camolin has those 120gr norma in stock. .The other Option is to go and get either 155gr sako's or norma's provided you are not taking any really long shots. Those 155gr from either maker have an excellent reputations for one shot knock downs on the spot.

    6.5

Price of Ammo was only reason I went away from Norma 120 grain as I only had 1 centrefire rifle at the time for deer, foxes, long range bunnies etc

    Very effective round
