If you have no commitments here atm, and a means of doing it; then go travelling for a while.

Go on a diet, get your hair cut, have deep and meaningful nights in with wine and your "girlos", then go on a holiday and find a Turkish Adonis who likes to count the purple bubbles on your cellulite.

Find and interest (hobby) for yourself. Opens up possibilities.

If that's an option for you you I would second that advice!

What exactly is the problem OP? In what way do you feel you have fallen out of the cycle of life?

Learning to play an instrument or learning a language are great uses of excess free time and I doubt you would ever regret doing either.

Try a few dating sites maybe, at the very least you'll be interacting with people one on one. Whats the worst that could happen, get laid?

Travelling does sound like a good idea, if you have the money that is.

If not, keep looking for a job, maybe try volunteering just to get yourself out of the house and around people more. Join a club, take up a hobby, find something that you're intrested in be it sports, music, anything.

Get up early and exercise then go to bed early. Quit drinking for a little bit.

Since you're unemployed why don't you use all the free time you have to fix/change things in your life. Go back to college & do a course in something that you'll like to do as a career in the future. Travel, work abroad. Join a gym & get fit. Find a new hobby.

Im kinda in a rut at the moment-for the past 2 years since leaving college i still have no job and lost touch with most of my friends. My confidence has taken a hit-im really shy with meeting new people-otherwise those boards beers meetings could be fun...

I was unemployed for 18 months after finishing college, if you do want to work then my advice is to keep plugging away applying for anything slightly relevant to your interests. If you throw enough stones eventually you will hit a window.

Why don't you seek advice from a bunch of dysfunctionals who hang around a virtual bar, most of them taking each other to task over points that no one except the most anal retentive would give a f.u. c.k about..?

Oh... I see you've tried that...

Did you see what I did there? Yes... the fat alien made a funny.
