smeel in heater

    hey there a couple of weeks ago i bought a peugeot partner 1.9, but when you turn on the heater there is a kind of peppery smell, i check the oil cap for a milky residue but nthing and its not getting hot, neither is the expansion bottle bubbling so i dont think a head gasket.i drove a 98 model one before and found the same smell in the heater. any ideas

    Sounds like your heater matrix (rad) is leaking coolant....Check for dampness
    wetness in the passenger side footwell..?
    These can be awkward to replace due to the fact there in behind the dash.
