    Hello all,

I get quite a lot of press releases for all sorts of things, but today I got one from the Microsoft BUILD conference that's currently taking place in Annaheim. It just so happens that I was looking at an Endgadget preview of it on a Samsung Slate and saw that this is going to be a pretty major departure from Windows as it is now. My internal nerd finds this sort of stuff interesting, so I thought I'd copypasta the press release as some of it's bound to be of interest to you folks too:
Shortly after 9:00am PDT (4:00 pm GMT) this morning, Steven Sinofsky, president of the Windows and Windows Live Division, took to the stage to showcase a detailed preview of the next major release of Windows! He highlighted a reimagined UI, new developer opportunities and a new generation of hardware with “Windows 8.” We invite you to view the keynote, available on-demand video online and utilize the resources below to track all of the updates from BUILD in Anaheim.

Starting at immediately please visit Microsoft News Center to:
    • Watch the keynote on-demand video
    • Read the press release, which will provide a basic overview of content highlighted in the keynote
    • Download the Windows 8 Developer Preview Fact Sheet for a more detailed look at what will be announced in the keynote
In the meantime, follow the #bldwin hashtag on Twitter for real-time updates and follow @BuildWindows8 for news and information from BUILD. You can also visit the BUILD site and the Building Windows 8 blog for more information on the event and the Windows 8 engineering process.
