Cherbourg to Paris

    We are looking to head over the france next year for 2 weeks and i was wondering if anyone can recomend things to do along the drive from Cherbourg to Paris.

    We will be getting the ferry over and driving to Paris, probably staying in a couple of different locations along the way so i dont mind driving off the direct route a bit.

    Im finding it difficult to find things along the way, eg Muesuems, sites, places of interest etc. if anyone has done this before i would appreciate some recommendations if you have them.

    Normandy Beaches, Arromanches especially: a short detour from the motorway, WW2 museum at Caen.
    Bayeaux tapestry, Rouen Cathedral, Monet's Gardens at Giverny
    Lots of rural walks and cycling routes.
