    Wicklow hindered by great divide

We noted with dismay that serious incidents marred Sunday's Rathnew v Blessington Wicklow senior football quarter-final and sincerely hope it's a one-off as the club championships in all grades move towards the concluding stages.
It's particularly regrettable for Wicklow and their new manager Harry Murphy, who has taken over from Mick O'Dwyer. Murphy is also the long-serving Rathnew manager and in a county where the east-west divide often raised its unhelpful head in the pre-O'Dwyer days, it would be unfortunate if it were to return.
Bust-ups between clubs on either side of Wicklow, one of which is managed by the new county manager, certainly won't help the cause.

any Wicklow posters on here able to enlighten us on this divide?
