Flock versus Herd Numbers

Can you advise how easy or difficult it is to upgrade from a flock number to a herd number? I have about 3 hectares of land and was granted a flock number a few years back. I kept a few ewes to clean pastures and sold them on in autumn. Now I am considering a small flock of pedigree sheep and thought a couple of cattle from April to October would reduce waste and clean up the rougher pasture. Any ideas, advice welcome.

contact your local dvo district veterinary office to issue you with paperwork to apply for herdnumber/blue book etc ... its not difficult at all but you will need to erect some sort of a cattle crush... best of luck with it
