Hi guys, I know this is a few years ago now but I cannot find any up to date threads on this... Did anybody find out how you can download a youtube link to your desktop in the meantime?

    Hi,

If you cannot find a relevant recent thread, please create a new one rather than pulling up an old one. Thanks.

If you're running firefox install the Greasemonkey extension. Go to userscripts.org and install Youtube Enhancer. This will give a link to download a youtube vid (as well as nice little changes to viewing the videos).

In chrome all you need to do is to install the script directly from userscripts.org.
