Rented house has a dish

    Hi all.

I've just moved into a rented house in Dublin and there is still a satellite dish on the roof that was installed by a previous tenant. I was thinking about getting a freesat box to connect to the dish but I was just wondering about the following:

    1) How would I know if the dish would be able to pick up freesat
    2) How would I know if the dish is correctly aligned to the satellite
    3) Am I missing anything stupid?

I'm a newbie when it comes to satellite TV so hopefully this forum will help me out.

    Thanks.

The answer to 1 and 2 is.... borrow a sky digibox from one of your friends. If its correctly aligned and working, you will have all the sky channels. Your freesat box will work equally well.

    Answer to 3..... I don't think so.

Thanks for your help, I know a couple of people with sky boxes so will have to speak nicely to them.
