Ok silly question, but I have a pre paid Internet usb dongle and i'm just wondering what burns your credit the most?

Would it be every time you enter a page or when your scrolling thru the page? Its just my credit seems to be going down very fast.

I dont use youtube or watch any videos on it, mainly just checking e-mails and job hunting and facebook etc.

    Cheers

Everything that comes off the Internet through your Internet connection is counted.

It sounds like you're not paying for a monthly bundle, why? You pay €20 a month with most providers and you get a fixed allowance. If you're not doing this, then you're paying by either the kB or MB of download, and paying a hell of a lot more than you would by buying a monthly package.

things to avoid if you are trying to reduce the bandwidth you use:

    - Downloading videos, whether through torrents, news sites, youtube type sites
    - Skype with video or voice.. messaging does not use much...
    - Any software that takes updates down from the Internet (without necessarily prompting you).. Windows updates, Anti Virus, Skype, ... multimedia software like VLC also pull down updates...
    - Sites that have a lot of high resolution images.. This can include social networking sites like Facebook
    - Emails with video attachments... These can be ridiculously large
