Cheapest Canon 550s slr,

    Hi, i'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of the cheapest Canon 550d slr, my husband is getting it for my birthday and really need to find the best bargain , Cheers in advance

    Probably taxfree in one of the Airport electronics shops. Alternatively there are several online resellers such as Ian Kerr.

    If it were me i would get a 2nd hand 550d, i would first check out adverts.ie, then maybe ebay. alot of photographers keep their gear in quite good shape.
    If you are looking for new, have you considered the 600d, latest model in the eos range

    Hi, i myself am questing for a cheap camera :P ive been stalking digitalrev.com they are litterally hundreds cheaper than irish shops, and ive been looking at the canon 550d myself its cheaper by a long shot.

    if you dont seem convinced by their website, they have a very active youtube channel called digitalrev . very informative aswell. their based in hong kong. i dont know if anyone tried them but they seem attractive.

    Don't forget to factor in the cost of duty when buying from HK.

    Yup, once you factor that in a 600D works about £30 cheaper than amazon.co.uk.
    Not amazing but still that'd cover the cost of an SD card.

    I get this, 600D with 18-55 kit lens - Digitalrev €743 to Amazon's €676.

    I only checked the body only option and also GBP prices. Chances are yer getting shafted back home. :(

    Yeah, that was digitalrev priced in € to Amazon's £590.

    Body only, digitalrev €642 to Amazon's £535 (€613).

    So Amazon cheaper again, by €30.
