Hi, I'm looking for insulation seconds. 70mm/80mm. Kingspan, Xtratherm, Ballytherm sheets, any would do, local hardware say they're hard to get.

Would anyone know where would do them? need about 30 sheets.
    thanks

Kingspan Seconds are all sold to the guy on Done Deal called Stuart. Called him today as I am in the market for some myself. €15 for an 8x4 50mm PIR board. Not great value when build4less.ie do the same for €17.50 for orders over 60sqm. Not sure a saving of €2.50 per sheet is worth it when you don't know exactly what your getting. For me on 160sqm of 50mm sheets the saving would have only been €100 but delivery to Kildare was €60 via free from local builders providers who will match buy4less.ie.

Ballytherm: Recieved an email from them stating they do not sell seconds which is strange as in prior threads here they did.

I am still waiting to hear from Quinntherm and Xthratherm whos reps I have left voicemails with.

    Hi thanks for the replies.

I went directly to the Quinntherm factory in Ballyconnell, Cavan today and they sell seconds to the public. They even gave me a tour of the factory, which was great. I'm getting 75mm 8x4 seconds and the sheets looked as good as perfect to me.

Hi mountainy man, my local hardware told me if they were to get in 70mm for me it would cost me 28 euro per sheet.
Quinntherm are giving me 70mm for 21 euro per sheet or 75mm for 23euro per sheet, quite a difference
(oh and my local crowd charge 23.50 for a new 50mm, hope that helps)

    Hi Yop
That price I got was with me collecting the sheets. I have an 8x5 trailer and only live 19/20 mile from the factory. I just had the plasterboard delivered so need to grab it. You could ask about delivery, I was told they load about 40 artic trucks a day so I'd imagine 1 has to be going your way at some stage.

I do have the number of the guy I spoke with if you want it. Is it ok with the rules to put up a number?

Thanks very much, you can't put up numbers, if you PM the number it would be great. But I am only looking around 40 sheets so doubt they would deliver :)

No harm in asking anyway! :)

Whats the name of them sheets btw?

    Hi,

I was wondering if you could also pm me the number. Need to get about 180 sheets of 50mm Insulated Plasterboard as well as a fair quantity of 80mm foil backed floor insulation.

    Thanks
