Is it just a facelift or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 582 ✭✭✭HJL

The Honda Civic 2006 shape was never a car I ever warmed to. The front I kind of came round on, but the rear I just can't. This version isn't doing anything for me either. I love the interior though.

The cd of .26 is very impressive for a small car

The looks are very similar to the current car, which imho still looks fresh enough

Engine wise, they're still a good bit behind where it's at...

It could look a lot worse imo.

You just know with the engine range that it's just going to be boring old Honda again like they've been for the past few years.

The shark fin ariel looks daft and out of place.

Wheel arch trim and spots on arse, a bit meh, but the dash would look good with some carbon vinyl covering it.

I think it's a sexy looking car, but they could have picked a better colour

Nice looking car! Apparently the saloon will be like a cross between the Accord and current Civic saloon.

Oh yay, another manufacturer to use oversized wheel arches making everything you put underneath look like a shopping trolley castor. Way to be imaginative Honda :|

Meh the JDM Civic FD2 is way better looking.

Not liking the grill, Ie. the main thing changed about the car :P

I think it looks as horrid as the new Focus hatch.

The front end is very nice but I do not like the back half, especially the rear side. Interior is mint though.

Still, she's no Fiesta 1.25 Ghia.

Looks sh*t IMO. Like was said above the last great looking Civic was the FD2 Type R, pity its not being made anymore.

My thoughts too. A lazy update of an ugly car made by a good company.

    Shame...

Maybe blue would be a bit more too your liking as its less "in your face" than the white (the white does look fantastic though!)

Lose the spoiler and you're getting close.

I like a civil servant car look.

Type R definitly back on the way and no mention of diesel!

    http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/273562/honda_civic_type_r_is_back.html

But its quoted as only a scabby 210bhp, circa 10/15bhp more than the current Fn2 model, bah!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,526 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Thank god they made it slightly bigger, all hail the return of the pretty civics :)

I thought they were doing away with the Type R versions?

It's nearly nice but just doesn't come together too many lines - very heavy over the rear wheels with a strange little spoiler under the rear light which looks like stability correction! - Heavy black plastic in the wheel arches, not nice.....Front half of the car however looks good..

The coupe megane, vw scirocco and this car all look quite similar.

Do not like that at all. Looks like pretty much every other current hatchback car. Not doing anything for me.

This is AutoExpress again. It isn't reported anywhere else, so it is most likely bull****.
