    Hi,

Using windows xp, used to have an up/down icon which would appear when I manually pressed the up/down button on the keyboard, it has just disappeared, any help on how to get this back?

    TIA

Happened to me, you need to reinstall it with the XP disc. Go to ad/remove software and look for volume control(or something like that), click install and follow the prompts

    Hi,
It may be a case that the software used to make this keys and Windows communicate is not working correctly. Are the other shortcut keys working?

Can you give the name and model of the laptop?

    Johan.

    jnasneer is correct.
The easiest solution is to re-install the sound driver for your particular laptop make & model.
If you are unsure how to do this, let us know the make & model and hopefully we will be able to help.
