Hi all just looking for a bit of help and a few opinions.
I have this Vesta Case, I was previously told it was worth a bit more than the usual run of the mill Vesta's because it is an advertising enamel case.

My case is as far as I can figure out from Chester and I think 1906. Now before I get too carried away I was doing a bit of digging on the ole tinterwebz and came across this http://www.matchsafe.org/Article_Sample_2.htm
Have a look at figure 3-1 and the text underneath  am I delusional or am I heading off Christies in New York
So fellow Boardsies what do ye think?

Don't know much about Vesta cases but a quick glance at the internet would indicate that you may have a goodie there. I would suggest that you get a couple of decent pics and get in touch with Christies in the first instance.

This appears to be their Irish Rep. Good luck. :)

Right Boardsies, once again forgive me for the mahoosive pic but I think it might actually help this time(sorry mods) I went back and think I have the maker down as B.H.J Barnet Henry Joseph I may be wrong on the date but I am now edging 1889 going by the F, I am 100% on Chester as the 3 sheaves are clear, the 6 or 9 beside the makers mark is a bit of a mystery atm, also the lack of search results for a "Judy Vesta Case" is either a seriously good thing or I've got me some shiney crap! Well the pic is the hallmarks from the inside of the lid, c'mon now lads there's a can of coke for the 1st correct answer! :p [IMG][/img]2ef2cnq.jpg

The F may not be right closer inspection looks like we got a C which puts it 3 years earlier at 1886.
