    Hi,
In an effort to use campus internet, I've resorted to rooting my HTC Desire so as to be able to configure a proxy. The rooting went fine however now I can't seem to find any way to actually set up the phone to use a http proxy.

    Can anyone help?

I've tried using ProxyDroid from the Android Market but with no luck. I also tried Tor but again to no avail.

This is driving me nuts, any help would be appreciated.

Is this to connect to your own proxy to avoid pesky college firewalls? that's a dangerous question that boards probably won't like, nor would any other forum most likely. If it's just to connect to the actual college internet itself... pretty sure dcu has a proxy setup and my bro just downloaded an app / followed their guide.. No rooting necessary 0_0

You should probably check this out first, but I'm pretty sure that CyanogenMod rom allows you set up a proxy in wifi settings natively without any app required. This will work for browser and some but not all apps. Problem if you like sense though
