Galaxy S2 Firmware update

    Hi,

I connected my Galaxy S2 to my computer via Kies wi-fi there earlier to transfer some music across. When it came up it says that there is new firmware available and to download it.

However it says that I can't download in the wi-fi mode, I have to do it by connecting the USB. Every time I do that I get an error about an MPT device or something and Kies won't recognise the phone. If I go through mass storage device it recognises it but says firmware can't be installed that way!

    Driving me nuts! Any solutions?

Yeah I checked that but it was already off. Is there anywhere I can just download the correct MTP drivers?

There should be an option in Kies to download or install drivers, try that.

If it still doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall

If that fails, try another PC.

Ideally try to avoid using kies altogether, it's a piece of $^!+
but you do need the drivers
