Cant copy the pics are they are copyrighted but 2 pics of planes landing sideways lol

Must admit it was ropey enough landing in dublin on sat night from Ibiza even though it was calm enough on the ground. sideways and left to right in the air an all but in fairness the pilot was talking and he seemed relaxed enough while it was happening.

All in a days work :)

Great photos there. And as pointed out in another thread the winds are causing a lot of delays in/out of DUB today.

And it is expected to get worse tonight!

I don't have pics but we had 2 go-arounds here in Cork today within 5 minutes of each other, a Ryanair followed by Aer Arann, there were some hairy conditions for landing today!

Thought it was odd that they went with the headline:

Jet is battered by Hurricane Katia winds

and then pictured a turboprop trying to land sideways...

Maybe standards at The Sun are not what they used to be:eek:

And on 2 different runways!! We had an oh oh moment when we heard the Ryans going around. At 200 odd feet we lost 20kts ias and the capt says "Go around!". Then the kingair behind us had landed, no problems:o.

I'am shocked you managed to get 'standards' in the same sentence as 'The Sun'!!!

Watch out the RADL will be on your case when they see that photo of one of "their" jets landing sideways!!!

Last time i mentioned a Ryanair jet landing like that at Leeds-Bradford they didnt like it !!! But then that night there was damned all WX to worry about !!

Joking aside fair dues to both pilots, that must have been a case of concrete block production rather bricks.....
