I heard tickets for this event are just about sold out.

Just wondering does anyone here have a spare ticket that they are willing to sell?

Aye, I'd take two if anyone ends up not needing them :3

They are mostly sold out but the last 500 are still lying around for anyone heading out this week.

There are a few events on in the SU clubhouse on tuesday, wednesday and thursday of this week.

Tomorrow is Jigsaw night, then they have Take Me Out and I'm not sure what is on thursday.

At each event they have the final batch of Calvin Harris tickets, so be there a.s.a.p and you'll be fine.

Not quite following your post there.

Are you saying that they will be on for general sale again at those events?

ie, if you go there at the start of the event on Tuesday night you'll be able to buy tickets to the gig?

    Edit:
Ah, just found it on Facebook.

It says nothing about selling them on Tuesday though, just Wednesday & Thurs :)

So bummed out about this, for various reasons I can't move to Maynooth 'til the weekend and living in Sligo doesn't really make it easy to just pop over and get a pair of tickets. Really really want to go but looks like it's not gonna happen now :(.

Is there nobody you can ask to get them for you? I'd offer but unfortunately at home this week.

I tried but nobody really has any extra money lying around right now until I'm able to pay them back, and some are already buying multiple tickets for other people. I left it late to sort something out, ya see. It's an annoying situation! :(.

If anyone here is selling one I'll take it, don't think I'll be able to make it over this week :(

Go to the SU! Play the games and win tickets!! Plug plug plug!:D

Is winning them the only way to get them? Or can you still buy them too?

Why were tickets available to non-Nuim students?

They p much always are and tbf I would agree with the practice.

These events wouldn't be as fun if you couldn't bring a mate from home or where ever. Not to mention that a lot of first years won't have their student cards yet.

Yeah but then it means that actual students, like me, might not get a ticket!
    (sorry I'm just bitter :P)

It was so students who hadn't registered yet would be able to buy a ticket (some don't register until next week, for example) because they had no proof of being a student :)

Won't most people have one by the time he actually plays though?

The majority of people I know who are going to this aren't even in the college.

Unless you know 500 people then that's not a huge amount of fact there.

Think you misread my point. Out of the 10 or so people I know going to this, only three are current NUIM students.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,081 ✭✭✭LeixlipRed

Yes, and you misinterpreted my point. You know 7 people not from Maynooth going. Does that mean that piles of non-NUIM people are going? Maybe or maybe not.

Had to sing my heart out last night to win tickets, think my friend is taking one but if not then I'll have one spare.

I'd just like to point out to other forum members that the user MaynoothParty is most likely a business or promotions company, not a student. They've started threads in other university forums, including Trinity and UCD.

    Calvin was s***.

I was talking to a girl at the gaff party I attended after who was a die-hard fan, she also thought the gig was disappointing.

I already knew that, and didn't go. Win-Win.

Couldn't be arsed buying a ticket, apparently he's just a DJ now; he played, what, three of his songs? Think I saved myself 15 euro there :)

I don't know what people were expecting. It was clear enough that he was only playing a DJ set. Of course it was gonna be ****.
Though even if it wasn't I wasn't gonna go :P
