I need to replace a cracked back for a friend. I'm in north dublin.

I ordered it from ebay but was sent a tool kit for a 3GS.

So if any one needs tools for a 3g/3gs just let me know and you can have them.

If anyone has a lend of a screwdriver for the iphone 4 it'll be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

you'll need to specify which type of screws as far as i know apple have changed the screw type mid way through the iphone 4's lifecycle.

I only noticed this after i got a replacement phone from Apple last month.
Mine are tiny torx type or similar head screws.

Apple doesn’t want to let you inside your iPhone, even if all you want to do is fix it.

That’s what repair company iFixit claims, at least. The company recently discovered that Apple has quietly switched the screws in the latest shipments of the iPhone 4 from a basic Phillips head to a tamper-resistant screw that you can’t remove with any screwdriver you’d buy at a hardware store.

The screw in question is called a “Pentalobe” (see right), a five-point head with a round shape resembling a daisy.

I'm really surprized that the iPhone even started out with philips screws

Finally got delivery of a 5 point screw driver this morning and got the job done on the phone.

So I have one here now if anyone needs it in the future just drop me a PM.

Also have two spare kits for the 3G/3GS if anyone needs one of those.

    Cheers
