    Ok so My top teeth are slightly bucked.
    Was thinking of getting braces but at the end of the day I am a 18 year old student so I wouldnt even be able to afford braces.
    I heard that you can get your teeth drilled down and crowned to fix a overbite.
    Whats your advice?

    Impossible to say without seeing you, but in general;

    If you have crowding, like it or not, braces are your most ideal option as they align the teeth and don't involve removing tooth structure.

    If you already have crowns or lots of fillings on the front teeth or decay requiring work on the front teeth and you are totally against braces, then in some mild-moderate cases of crowding- crowns or veneers may help....

    Yon need to realize that crowns have a life of 10-15 years so at your age you will need this retreated a few times in your life at quite a cost... Braces are not that expensive considering it is a once off cost

    Some decent crowns will cost as much as braces.

    Umm ye i guess I better get braces then :rolleyes: just being put of getting them because of being quoted 4k but I suppose the are worth the investment.
    Just one question I heard on the radio some place advertising invisible 'braces'
    they put them on the back of your teeth or something have your heard anything about them?

    Yep there more expensive again and only suitable from some milder cases.

    Sure they work, but are very expensive and are a bugger to keep clean, expect 2 years of food trapping and bad breath!! I know braces don't look great but really no one cares these days...

    Veneers or crowns would be a quick solution for sure and if that what your after its not a bad choice. Braces would be less expensive long term. With either just make sure somebody good is doing it. You will find that that person is rarely the cheapest. Maybe I go on about quality too much but I cannot overestimate its importance.
