I heard about some experimentation being performed on a chemical product which should be able to allow teeth to grow again after tooth decay appeared.

Does anybody know anything about this topic? I think it's a "peptid" of some kind...

There are several products n the market which help with remineralisation of teeth the one your referring to is GC Tooth Mousse a water based, sugar free topical cream containing Recaladent (CCP-ACP) (casein phosphopeptide – amorphous calcium phosphate) which is derived from the milk protein, casein.

Its worth noting that these work on a microscopic level. So very very early invisible decay is re calcified. However any holes or cavities in your teeth that are visible will not fill in. These products are an aid to people who are susceptible to decay however they do not negate the need for fillings where you are cavitated lesions on your teeth. Fluoride has a similar effect and is thankfully in the water at optimal levels.
