I originally done the leaving cert in 09/10, failed maths and did it again this year. On step 9 of the online reg. process where it say the registration fee amount now due it say €4004.40 and the finance office claim its because I repeated the leaving cert.

So is there anybody else who has repeated the leaving cert that has a higher than normal reg. fee?

    Sounds like rubbish to me.
You are entitled (presuming you standard student type) to "free fees" (not that there are exactly free ) for one attempt at each of 4 years of being an undergrad, so presuming you didn't do a 1st year here or somewhere else, then the free fees must apply.

    Its all here http://www.dcu.ie/finance/fees/criteria_free_fees.shtml

This happened to me basically you ring them they'll send u out a free fees declaration form...fill it in saying u repeated and u have to get your school to stamp it then send it off to them
