Are you doing the full WAR or the Sports version?? Looking forward to it and I'll probably sign up for the Sports myself. The rolling start looks interesting... never done one of those before!

Does anyone know when entry closes???

It'll be my first time too but and also my first time doing this kind of race so I'll be happy just to finish reasonably comfortably. I covered the WAR Sport route yesterday. I had intended doing a full recce but the strong winds put me off heading up to the Sally Gap. I'll hopefully recce that and the Maulin run next weekend.

A road bike would be ideal as there's no off-road sections. I've only got a hybrid myself as it happens. As for fitness levels, if you've completed Gaelforce I'm sure you'll be fine. I wouldn't imagine there's a huge difference between them in terms of difficulty.
