Do You Work For - Or Do Business With - American Companies?

Given the truly pathetic ongoing slating of America on these boards, how may of us work for American companies - and take the dollar? I do. And have no problem with the USA. I admire them for being a beacon of freedom to the world, in the face of the fundamentalist Islamic threat - and the fools who, for reasons best know to themselves, support it.

I write freelance for one. I find it picks up the slack if I don't have enough classes on certain days. Only trouble is the euro is stronger so I get thirty percent less!

I love the USA, given the chance to bail out of this country I wouldn't think twice, it'll probably be my first port of call when I finish college.

Heres the heroes from your beacon of freedom at work.

    Enjoy.

Work for an American Co and I like a hell of a lot of things about the States but that doesn't mean that their Government isn't above criticism for some of their actions.

Blnket statements like "Americans are thick" are idiotic though

Yes I mostly do business mostly with American companies.

This does not mean I am obliged to like them.
It's business, not a fucking weekend away or anything.

America is a great country. If only they had a government that did them justice

If I was to use sweeping generalisations I'd say whatever about all americans........

But I can say the majority of them voted bush in two elections. That speaks for itself.

I work for an American company in Dublin, but as others have said just because you work for one, or like Americans, it doesn’t mean their government isn’t corrupt as fu*k with some things.

They're the best at enforcing freedom of any country I know - particularly onto people who hate it.

Why do people even rise to this s****? What was the point of the original post? Nothing but to goad and troll. Responding just allows one lonely person to feed off of all the negative energy directed towards them. Not sure if that is what they are so desperate for because it is the only attention they can get, the only type of attention they have ever got, or something else... but why even bother? The more you respond, the more tripe it will post, and the more you point out it's bigotry, the more "success" it will feel it has achieved.

Best just leaving and/or locking this, if you ask me.

He trolls, someone else counter trolls and another AH thread is born.

It's the way of the world, just let it be.

Someone doesn't even need to counter-troll......stating facts is enough to trigger a tirade of nonsensical abuse.

They might go down hill a bit in my eyes if Michele Bachman has her way:
US presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has said she wants 10,000 jobs created in Ireland by American multinationals to be brought back to the US.

The only way Bachman is seeing the inside of the white house is on a guided tour.
    I wouldn't worry about it.

Amazingly no footage of people jumping to their deaths from exploding buildings......actually no footage that includes any people at all

    I wonder why ?

I locked this at this point. However it appears to not have taken. This has now been rectified.
