Good value pubs and restaurants in Reykjavík

    Hi there,

    Heading to Reykjavík for a few nights at the end of the month.

    Can anyone recommend some good value bars or restaurants in the vicinity of the city?

    Cant help as I have never been - would love to go though. Who did you book with? Was it expensive - just looked at flights and they are nearly 500 yoyos

    Hey - got a deal with the Travel Department! 4 nights in a 3 star hotel, flights, transfers and a couple of tours for 500 quid all in! Think it has sold out now though :(

    Was there few months ago, i didnt go drinking in pubs as it was too expensive, did my drinking on a cruise ship instead. Go to the blue lagoon. Its well worth a visit. Fantastic place. Enjoy!!!

    Hi there.
    We went back in 2007 and it is the most expensive country we have EVER visited!Perhaps things have changed since the financeial crash but be warned it is really really expensive.I remember that it worked out at sometihing like 18euro for 2 pints of beer and I remember paying 80euro for 1 salad a pizza a lasagne and 2 Cokes in an average Italian resturant.
    Other than the Iceland itself was fantastic-really enjoyed it!
