I was doing some work in the garden yesterday, and I was carrying a pallet around from the front of the house, when I saw a bird fly past me (about a foot away from my feet) a foot off the ground. My first thought was that it was a swallow, because there was a bunch of them flying about. However I turned to see where it went and then to my surprise up at the corner of the house, a Sparrowhawk was attacking one of the swallows not sure if the sparrowhawk was successful.

It happened all so fast! Its not the first time I've seen a sparrowhawk attempt a kill at the house.
