I was just reading Rafael Nadal's book and in it his uncle and coach Toni said that religion is for the mentally weak. Do you think this is true? Do people cling to religion who can't face or accept the harsh realities of life?

For some people it is probably the reason but for a lot of others no. Mass generalisations never realy hold true.

Ya know how most people use their friends to get through stuff? Some have imaginary friends, like God. Leave em to it if it makes them happy!

The most pertinent questions known to man cannot be explored without reference to theology.

I don't think people who believe in religion are mentally weak. A lot of people are looking for something to believe in.
I'm not a huge believer in religion tbh but I don't see a problem with others believing whatever they want.
What does it matter if someone believes that there's a God?

What I do have a problem with is people who try and force their beliefs onto others.

No one said anything about having a problem with others believing what they want.

Religion exists because some men cannot understand some mysteries of the universe. Instead of accepting that we are a small insignificant spec of a species in a vast universe some believe that a bearded man in the sky made them in his image and they're the most important things in that universe.
