about to give up streaming a dm 500 to a laptop

    ive tried everything, changed vlc player to 086, installed players like dream view etc, but i just cant get the 500 to stream properly. Ive also changed images (evolution, jade). My 800 streams perfect, but thats the main box so when the mrs is watching something that cant be used to stream. Any help please before i go down the video sender route or move the 500 into the kitchen (its in conservatory at moment, a bit of hassle to move it)

    I had this problem and discovered it was Internet explorer that cause me the issues. I changed to firefox and used VLC player and everything now works fine.

    The only issue you may have is HD channels, but on a laptop you may as well just watch the SD version.

    well ive been using fire fox. Ive tried many different vlc versions. Last night now i had a little success with tunisa sat 6.0.0 recorder and streamer, running vlc version 092. Ill test again later to see how stable this is. Web x tv just doesnt work what ever i try. Im using win xp prof service pack 3

    Is the box an Enigma 1 or Enigma 2 box? Enigma 1 boxes need specific software to view streams. Enigma 2 boxes stream natively to vlc.

    been using a programme called tunisa sat dreambox player and streamer. That seems to be fairly stable running vlc player 092. Ive recorded as well with this player

    i had a similar problem on the 500s,tried most options but couldnt get it to stream. it was working but just stopped.using the 800hd now and works fine.

    Found a greater improvement now im using Pli Jade image as well. Fingers crossed. Yes my 800 streams perfect, but that's the main receiver in the house used by the wife and son.
