    While out digging for lugworms for fishing yesterday I can across some large clams in the sand/mud flats.There maybe 3-4" in size and were about 2 ft under the surface.Im just wondering are these ebile and would anyone have any experence with them

    They are probably edible but whether or not they are safe to eat is another matter.
    Edible shellfish can carry all kinds of toxins that can poison you.
    You need to check whether the area is closed for shellfish harvesting or open.
    If in doubt pass it up as Shellfish poisoning is not fun.
