Ill be making a choice on whether to do INTRA for 3rd year soon, and was wondering what sort of companies does DCU attract for INTRA to interview business studies students?
Im choosing the finance stream, so if anyone has any INTRA company examples from that field it would be appreciated:) (I know its different every year, Im just trying to get a feel for it).

Do INTRA. Its the best thing you could ever do. Real life experience is worth more than any module.

Go into the INTRA office in the Henry Gratton building and ask about the employers. They will tell you everything you need to know.

Thanks for the reply, when I go back I definitely will. I was thinking that it would be very useful in times like these!

Would any people who did Business INTRA like to share their experiences and companies which did intra?

BTW you submit your CV to a central system and they employers pick you for interviews. Only in certain circumstances can you apply for one outside of the INTRA system.

There are also reports that students must do after their INTRA. It outlines their experiences and what they did. So you can ask the INTRA office about those reports and look for yourself.

Thats changed. They now encourage you to organise your own INTRA placement. The hiring rate for last year (in Engineering) was 70% ish and we were told its around the average rate. You are not guaranteed a job.

Good to hear that they're taking the students' side and allowing them to seek their own now, rather than forcing them into their partner firms!

My boyfriend didn't seem to find that when he was applying for Intra last year for Business?

I'm not actually in DCU, but on placement myself with law in NUIM and all I can say is the experience is a must have. Definitely do it if you have the option!

Maybe thats the way with engineering, but as far as computing is concerned we got our jobs through the INTRA system.
