New netbook?

Hi.
I'm looking to buy a netbook but I'm pretty lost atm. Essentially the most important thing is battery life. I want the longest possible because that was on of the major problems with my old laptop. Weight/size/portability is also important but since that's the point of a netbook I'd imagine they're all fairly small.

It would mainly be used for college work, so just the internet and for typing basically. My old one is still fine for downloading things and watching films etc. I'd also like it to be quite sturdy as I travel a bit so it's likely to be thrown into bus holds and stuffed into overpacked suitcases on ocassion.

My budget would be about €300 but most seem to be under that anyway. Any advice?

Stated battery life is often a lot less than advertised so its a bit of a minefield

You can also order a 9 cell battery for just about any netbook and get up to 8 or 9 hours intensive use. Check reviews for the "real-time" batt life.

If you get one with a matte screen you can actually use it outside, also you can really feel the difference if it has a dual core processor.
