    Hi Guys,

I am giving serious consideration to buying one of these soon. I don't do many miles (circa 8k) a year so I have no particular preference over Diesel of Petrol.

There are quite a few models floating around that have a 2 litre diesel in them but I have read quite a few posts regarding Mazda diesels being quite unreliable.

Are the issues with the diesel engine something that affect this particular model/year?

Also, is there anything else in particular that one should keep an eye out with these cars?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes that model will have similar issues but you are mad buying a diesel. Get the 1.8 or 2.0 petrol, they are a great car.

Great car, terrible headlights, the worst I've ever driven. Okay for city driving.

Ended up buying a 1.8 petrol Mazda 6 in yesterday. Have to admit, I really really like this car.
