help with microsoft word starter not opening

have been able to open and use this before, but when i'm doing it today, i'm only getting this message, can anyone guide me through this, i'm hopeless with pc

Microsoft word starter 2010 cannot be opened. Try again or repair the product in control panel

In vista.
Go into control panel and click programs and features.
When it loads all the programs click on the MS Office program and near the top of the window it says repair.
Click that.

you won't believe this but i uninstalled it arggggggh. could not find the repair button at all

Have a look in the recycle bin and tell us if the files are there.?

If you did not see the repair then I think you uninstalled the MS Office install file rather than the application.
That's not so bad.
Click to open a word Doc and see what it says.

i can open wordpad and its fine, when i go to ms office, a box appears saying office starter 2010 is installed and to go to ms office starter. when i do that, it goes to open, then a box appears saying ms office encountered problem with licensing and needs to close. if this persists, uninstall and reinstall your product

Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it again see if it might help?
