    Hi Everyone,

I have an iphone 3g Which was originally locked to 02,I managed to jailbreak it myself and now it takes a vodafone sim card,
(The only reason i jailbroke was to be able to switch sim card,I DO NOT used cracked apps)

I now want to get one for my wife,I can buy an iphone 3g which is locked to the 3 network,Is it still possible to jailbreak and use a meteor sim card in it,

AFAIK 3 uses a different frequency so it may not work.
    Thank You in advance

    iPhone 3G/3GS basebands 4.26.08, 5.11.07, 5.12.01, 5.13.04, and 6.15.00 are supported by Ultrasn0w(software unlock)

Thanks for the speedy reply Cathal,

I was just talking to the guy and he said this

"i done a master reset on it to clear my contacts and messages etc and it froze on the apple logo i rang a guy i knew and he said it was after locking to my pc and needed to be unlocked or jailbroken"

Ive never heard of an iPhone locking to a PC,i asked him to try and put it in to DFU mode,So if that works il be able to check the baseband

    Thanks again for the help

Sounds like it was already jailbroken and on the ipad baseband(06.15.00). and doing a reset put it into a bricked state.
Ask him to put it in DFU mode and restore to official firmware 4.1 in itunes(shift+restore)
I wouldn't buy it unless you see it working

No such thing as locking to a PC

He replied back and say it was never jailbroken (as far as he knew)He also advertised it as 8MB and 3g when its a 3GS i dont think the guy knows too much about them,

From the pics it also looks like it was rarely used,

Il get back to you and let you know what he says,Again thanks for your help
