Free or to purchase online dvd rip/burn software?

Hi folks, i have a dvd i want to burn, the computor i have can burn dvds, i presume i need the software to do it, can anyone recommend any free software i can download or to purchase, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

As far as I know you can rip a dvd with vlc media player. It's free too.

When you say DVD do you mean movie or just files to a DVD? If it's the latter, I could not recommend this enough: http://cdburnerxp.se/en/home - totally free and the easiest and most straight forward burning software I've ever used.

i use Handbrake to rip my dvd's to my computer.
Dead easy to use.
