Getjar Gold has some apps that are not free on Android Market.

There's nothing too earth shattering on it but it might be of interest to some of you.

    Bump.

There is some pretty good apps free here over the holidays, in particular Beautiful Widgets and Splashtop Remote (Normally $9.99).

Tune In Pro is free. Easily the best radio app for android. I have the free version, but the pro version is deadly.

It has a sleep timer to kill the app too, very handy :D

TweetCaster pro is on there too.

Edit: it's not the Pro version...

How does this work? How do they earn money for this? And how do GetJar give the apps away for free??

    http://www.getjar.com/about/pressrelease/getjar-gold-where-paid-apps-are-free-every-day/
SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 8, 2011 – GetJar, the world’s largest free app store, has introduced GetJar Gold, a program that gives consumers free ongoing access to premium applications that they would have to pay for on other app stores. The same premium Android apps that cost up to $10 on Android Market or Amazon App Store are offered free as part of GetJar Gold. New premium apps are added to GetJar Gold every day and remain on the store. All apps are available for download at no cost, saving consumers potentially hundreds of dollars over time. With 30 million active monthly users, GetJar is set to give away millions of dollars worth of apps.
GetJar carefully selects only the best apps for the program from popular categories like games, entertainment, and productivity. Titles currently available for free through GetJar Gold include Age of Zombies, TuneIn Radio Pro, Solo, Paper Glider and Splashtop Remote Desktop.
GetJar Gold works for everyone; consumers receive premium applications for free, developers are compensated, and advertisers enjoy the increased site traffic generated by the program. GetJar pays developers on a per-install basis, and gives them more exposure since free applications are downloaded 10 to 20 times more often than paid apps.
“We are able to develop programs like GetJar Gold because of our open and free business model,” said Ilja Laurs, CEO and Founder of GetJar. “We regret that at this time we cannot extend our program to iPhone users, as Apple runs a closed ecosystem that does not allow for competing app distributors like GetJar. Unfortunately, iPhone users will have to continue paying for the very same apps that their Android counterparts enjoy for free.”
Beautiful Widgets and Tune In Radio Pro are fantastic. I got Cross Fingers and it's a good puzzle game. You have to slide wooden blocks to form shapes. It sounds simple but it gets tricky at later stages.

There's also Smart Office+ and Paper Camera, to name a few. Might be handy for those looking for office software, and looking at the market Paper Camera seems to be popular enough.

Imperio Remote Desktop is free too. Might be handy for those looking for remote desktop.

They put sponsored apps into the gold listings, afaik publishers pay for that privilege (which relates to the above post!). It's best to double-check that what you're downloading is actually free, not garbage that someone is really desperate for you to install.

Doesn't seem to be anything particularly useful on GetJar bar maybe BeautifulWidgets (got in the 10c sale) and TuneIn Pro (downloaded at the suggestion of those on here).
