    Hi Guys,

Don't think this is a repost - hope not.

Where can I see a replay of this mornings ireland game ?

I slept through it, and I'm doing my nut in here refreshing the RTE player site - it's not appearing.

By now, I know the result as I've been getting more frantic trying to find anything.

    Please ?!!!!!

    Thanks ;-)

    Crimson.

The Ireland game is on TG4 now, formally known as TnaG.

Thats what I was thinking,...but not sure how long they are planning on waiting to put it up - it's over 3 hours ago - so they are stalling for some reason ;-(

Just watched the highlights - doesn't show me the brutalness of the rest of the match which Mr Hook spoke about in the highlights clip on RTE.ie

Just slow I don't think it is unusual for a fairly long delay in getting videos up. It is likely they need to run some compression on the audio and video first to make it more web friendly. Or they could be just inefficent. Either is equally plausible. :)

It could be that they cannot post it online until after TG4 has re-aired the game. However, it should be pointed that RTÉ are slow at putting programmes up on RTÉ Player.

I made the mistake of waiting for rte player for the first two games. Slept in on purpose assuming they would put it up later in the afternoon...nope. For some reason they wait until the next day! Pure frustrating. Any idea why? Should I email them for the Craic?? Don't wanna get up sat morn...would prefer to have a drinks in the evening and watch it but can't trust rte to put it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,330 ✭✭✭niallon

RTE can't upload them until they are on the RWC site in full, which is 24 hours after the match, I believe RTE have to wait 36 hours after the match. Some rights nonsense blah blah

Thanks for that Niall. Nowhere to watch it so as I don't have sky plus. Balls

I can't think of one reason why you shouldn't be able to find highlights of our quarter final v Wales. I don't want to spoil it for you but the excitement is too much....we won 29-29....an 80th minute try from Rory Best.

Ok, my friend has kindly offered to record it on sky plus and he has offered to give me a loan of his ky box. Will this work? Does the sky box behave as a standard hard drive or do I have to a be a sky customer too?

I don't think it will work without a dish. Our dish broke and we couldn't watch anything we had already recorded until we got a replacement dish.
