Considering the time put into wheels, and the quantity of paint and lacquer used, how much do you feel is a fair price?

50e per wheel max:) = 200e:) i could just get the primer, paint and lacquer in halfords for under 40e:) but dont want to mess it up lol

That's like saying you could get tiles and groute etc for xyz but won't as you'd mess it up. 250 seems very reasonable to be fair.

Prep the wheels yourself,Buy the materials in Halfords and get an apprentice to spray them on his day off. Offer him 100 :pac:

There is a world of difference between what you can do with the halfords materials yourself and what a skilled worker can do. You're paying for someone's time and experience.

tossy on here made a fine job of his wheels with Halfords paint and I've seen many other lads do it too!

    No doubt :)
But expecting someone else to do it for €200 is a tad unrealistic. Take out the cost of materials and give the revenue folks their VAT and there's not a huge amount left to cover the hours it would take.

If the OP was half capable of doing it themselves they wouldn't be on here looking for someone else to do it.

Oh, sorry, I wasn't debating the price, I was purely commenting on the painting it yourself option.

Did they detail all that in the quote? If so it's a very decent price.
I'd like first hand experience of someone who used them before though if I was you.

I think €250 for all 4 is reasonable to be honest considering there is a bit more work involved than just spraying them with a halfords can of paint.
