Myself and my partner are looking at starting a family, but have found it such a maze to get info on where to find reliable sperm donors.

Has anyone on here already been through the process here in Ireland? Any help much appreciated.

I wouldn't be able to help, but a quick google search would give you some info. I was considering it myself, but it's a bit costly.

No idea but have you come across this group - They may be of help

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

You'l have to go to the UK or at least the sperm will have to be originaly from the UK,the theory being that Ireland is so small, there's always an off chance that sperm recipient and donor could be related!. The Galway Fertility are helpful, based in Rahoon Galway.

Theres prideangel.com and FSDR freespermdonorregistry.com but not too many Irish people on there - I wish there were more! Just do all the checks, tests and references, and be clear on what you want, good luck!

You can have mine if you want, but careful, as a gay man, the child might turn out to be... *gulp*... homosexual! :P

FSDW is another one, I'm registered on there as a donor although have yet to donate, there are ways of doing it without need for a clinic, more info in there

Try these :The Morehampton Clinic , no association per say, just know some couples who have used them successfully.
