Just wondering what everyone considers to be the top 5 public courses in the capital?

I play maybe once or twice a week now and have recently played kilcock and grange castle , and elm green and silogue would be the locals.

    Has anyone any reccomendations?

I tend to play during the week as well and dont mind paying up to maybe €30 green fees if it's a good course!

Corballis would have to be on the list of must plays

played it a few months back and loved it , but played recently and must say I didn't enjoy it half as much , the course wasn't in near as good as nick as before! awesome course though! 3rd hole is brilliant.

You could play an awful lot of courses for €30 these days I would have thought?

just saying thats the most im willing to pay , as somebody might suggest a nice course but would be out of price range. Just looking for a couple off decent courses to play so I'm not playing the same 4 all the time.

One of my favourites is Deer Park in Howth, been playing it since the 70's. Great selection of holes.

Why are you restricting yourself to playing public courses, you could play most courses in dublin, kildare, wicklow, meath midweek for 30e or less, just check teetimes.ie or individual golf club websites as most have an online booking facility.

If your willing to travel to Kildare you have Killeen, you'll get that on tee times for 21 quid midweek. Or Bodenstown if you fancy some exercise.
