Robert is spot on, I've never had an issue ordering stuff from him. Japan and US use the same voltage, you'll be grand.

As mentioned elsewhere though, just don't scrimp on a step down, buy a decent one and it'll look after your consoles.

Is it safe to use long term though?

I have a few US stepdowns here so if it's alright to use one on a Jap console then it'd save me buying one. Anyone certain on this?

I think America uses 110V and Japan 100V.

I think all country's have a +/- around 10% voltage roll-over! its AC so I think were safe.
