Keyboard on laptop not working

    I have a
    HP compaq CQ61 403SA
    2yrs old
    win 7

    the keyboard literally stopped working mid sentence, I googled it and have tried the following:

    hard reset,
    restored it to factory settings and re installed win 7

    the keyboard then worked for about 10mins before it started typing '9' repeatedly by itself and now won't work at all.

    Am using on-screen keyboard and now pointer is a bit erratic.Can anyone please help?:)

    Its actually working again now. Weird
