I'm looking for a new laptop and i've managed to narrow it down to the HP Envy 14, However, today i was in Harvey Norman's and was shown a laptop with nearly the same specs as the Envy but for a much cheaper price.

    Specs for Samsung RC520
    http://www.harveynorman.ie/np-rc520-s02uk.html

The graphics card listed there and the one listed in HN are different. HN have it listed with an Nvidia 1GB graphics card.

    Specs for HP Envy 14

They're pretty similar as far as i can tell.

What i'm wondering is which would be better to go for? I have no idea what samsung laptops are like, quality wise, which is why i'm asking.

The laptop is for college and it's for a computing in games development course. I'll be using pretty much all the adobe software in the course if that helps. If you have any other suggestions please let me know. I do have a mac that can run the software, the laptop is just so i can bring it with me to college. Thanks in advance.

You should find out for sure what graphics card comes with the samsung and compare it wIth the envy, the envy does have a premium build qaulity and is a little more stylish but don't know it it's worth the extra money.

Just found it on the HN website. It is actually a stock intel graphics card and not an nvidia one. The envy has a dedicated graphics card while the samsung has a shared card. They had it listed wrong in the shop :/

    Thanks for replying anyway. :)
