BnQ in Airside,Swords are selling off large rolls of Rockwool 200mm attic insulation for 10 euro a roll at the moment.

Just incase anyone is about to buy the stuff elsewhere at a more expensive price.

I got in Knauf 170 and 200mm insulation rolls for 3 euro a roll.

    Hi Paddy,

Thanks for the most. Most other branches of B&Q are getting stock next week.

Where did you get the Knauf ar €3?
What do you think of it ?

Its 100mm doubled, so you wont be getting as much coverage as fibreglass. Its 3.3m2 if laid 200mm thick, just bare it in mind for your measurements. Still good value though

I have 100mm of Rockwool already and was going to top up with a 200mm layer.
I was wondering about the Knauf @ €3 per roll ?

Keep an eye out for Knauf deals from Homebase. They usually have offers in Sept/Oct for their Knauf stuff. Its very agreeable to handle as it is enclosed in a membrane.

Anyone get any of the Rockwool deals?

I rang B&Q Naas and they said it was a grant scheme from the English Government thats why they were so cheap. I hate the way B&Q and Homebase don't have proper Irish websites hard to get proper prices.

Is this easy enough to spilt and roll in 100mm instead of 200m? Or am i right in thinking its 2 x 100mm in one roll?

Its 2X10mm in one roll, so roll out, and then just lift off the first 100mm thickness.
