Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I'm looking to get recommendations of a good therapist who uses CBT. Someone who's based in Dublin city centre would be great, but I'm willing to travel for someone good. Any help would be great.

I saw a guy called Enda (can't remember his last name lol) who I found to be absolutely fantastic. I don't know if he's still working in Dublin but he used to travel out to Clontarf to see me when he moved surgery from the Navan Road. He may be based in Louth now though, but I would seriously recommend him, he's absolutely fantastic.

LyndaMcL - please do not post private emails here.

OP - please clarify how this is a personal issue for you. CBT searches can be completed with Google or via recommendatons from your GP.

Taltos, not to be smart, but I asked for recommendations, not any old search engine result. Therapy is a very personal thing I know, but recommendations from people who have had good personal experiences with a therapist are very helpful to someone who needs a therapist. I have spent too much money on therapist that I found from 'searching google' who don't even have the basic fundamentals of a good person, nevermind a good therapist.

Apologies OP but I am closing this thread.
This is the personal advice forum and we cannot give presonal recommendations for medical practitioners.

Please review some of the stickies on the following forums - hopefully they will be more useful for you.
    > Science > Long Term Illness
    > Science > Psychology
    > Soc > Phobias

I do hope you fine the right CBT practitioner for you.

    Taltos
