Hi, I was wondering if anyone could advise me with something. I was wondering if it is possible to do first year in trinity (doing an arts course) and transfer to ucd and repeat first year arts. Also, if this is possible if I would have to pay full fees in my first year in ucd?

If you repeat a 1st year you'll have to pay full tuition fees for that year, so yes you'd have to pay for the first year in UCD.

Why don't you try to transfer in now? Most courses have dropouts. You'll need to have the points for the relevant course and for there to be a space for you. Contact UCD's admissions office.

Alternatively consider taking a year off and applying through the CAO again, assuming you will have enough points.
